Premier Inn opens latest hotel in Malvern
/Working closely with Henry Boot Developers, Jehu Building Services and a team of carefully selected subcontractors and consultants, we’ve completed our first fully timber frame building. Finished on time, and achieving a BREEAM rating of ‘Very Good’, we are delighted that the hotel is now welcoming its first guests.
Whitbread, who own the Premier Inn brand, chose off-site timber frame construction as they recognise the efficient benefits of prefabrication. Assembled on site, the internal wooden walls become loadbearing when the timber floors are fixed in place. Prefabricated bathroom pods were assembled to a high standard before being lowered into position in the bedroom areas.
Key to the success of this project was the programme. Placement of each component depended on the previous one being positioned precisely when planned. With team effort and the ability to solve creative challenges, we have satisfied the design brief. We are pleased to hand the building over to our client so they can begin to welcome their guests.
