Architecture and its Side Effects

Alison Brooks has earned global reputation for her achievements in the field of design and architecture: from her first one off houses to her work in urban regeneration and housing, arts and education projects. Her work is driven by a passion for cultural context, expressive materiality, and for architecture that embodies social ideals. She will discuss her most recent work in London and Oxford, including the Cohen Quadrangle, Exeter College, Oxford and her award winning housing scheme in London, Ely Court, which is one of five finalists for the prestigious EU Mies van der Rohe Prize for Contemporary Architecture 2017.
