Yuan McCabe

Architectural Assistant

Yuan joined SRA recently having graduated at the University of Bath. His interest in architecture began when he was exposed to traditional Chinese architecture, and learnt about how architecture can have such close connections with culture.

With a keen interest in psychology and human behaviour, Yuan likes to reflect upon this when visualising architectural spaces, exploring how people relate and connect to different buildings.

In his spare time you are likely to find Yuan dancing jive and cha cha cha locally in Bath! He recently reached the final of the National Inter Varsity Dance Competition: Beginner Latin at Blackpool Winter Gardens.

I believe that architecture is about the visceral and emotional connections that we feel with the places we occupy. Most of us spend much of our lives inside and around buildings, which makes architecture the creation of the backdrops for everyday life.
