Townsend Way Hotel, Malvern

Throughout planning and delivering this 66 room hotel in Malvern, SRA worked closely with Henry Boot Developments and Whitbread, the owners of Premier Inn. We knew our plans had to get the balance right between hitting strict budget targets and delivering the perfect brand experience.

Premier Inn wanted contemporary quality and excellent sustainability credentials. The developer needed extra flexibility to ensure they had room to manoeuvre in terms of building costs. So our proposals allowed them to select from a number of construction techniques including pre-cast concrete, timber frame or traditional blockwork. Having choices offered them maximum versatility to deliver the best possible solution.

The finished hotel is stylish, modern and user-friendly. It has been built with recycled aggregates and responsibly sourced building materials. Additionally, its minimal water usage, water recycling, energy efficient services, low carbon technologies and low energy lighting have earned it a BREEAM rating of ‘Very Good’.
