Smithson snapshots: architectural photography

The Royal Institute of British Architects host a special private view of Smithson Snapshots: Architectural photography from the Smithson Family Collection, in association with The Edge at Bath University on 27 July. 

This exclusive event celebrates the launch of the Smithson Snapshot exhibition and the RIBA has invited some special guest speakers to discuss their interpretation of Brutalism and the affect on communities, what it means now and how this has played a part in architecture.

Keynotes from; Owen Hopkins, Senior Curator of Exhibitions and Education at Sir John Soane's Museum, and Architectural Writer and Lecturer Andrew Higgot. Both speakers will join a panel discussion, chaired by Eleanor Young, Executive Editor at the RIBA Journal.

  • RIBA members, RIBA student members and architects or individuals interested in joining the RIBA
  • Location: Weston Studio, The Edge, University of Bath
