MANOR BUSINESS PARK
Store Property approached SRA to develop proposals for a new business park in Rustington, West Sussex. The scheme, to be known as Manor Business Park, is accessed via the A259 and provides a mix of commercial units, varying in size from 2,500-35,000sqft and will offer an incentive to business looking to expand in, or relocate to, the Rustington area.
The proposals were submitted as an outline planning application following positive pre-application feedback on the scheme design, consideration of site constraints and significant BNG enhancement.
Balancing the challenges of changing levels, ecological habitat, servicing requirements and design quality, the proposals utilise the existing site characteristics to provide an efficient and considered proposal.
Sustainability has been a key driver from the outset, with siting and orientation, as well as material selection informing the building design, with on-site energy generation and the creation of significant new ecological habitat in enhanced water courses and storage areas, which is coordinated with the site-wide SUDs strategy.
The development will provide an additional 120,000sqft of high-quality commercial employment space for Rustington and is expected to the be a popular destination for businesses.
