John Rich joins the RIBA Register of Architect Experts

For the benefit of its members and clients, the RIBA has developed a Register of Experts. Chartered Architects with suitable experience and understanding are recommended by the RIBA to provide expert services such as court-based expert witness work and giving opinions on the work of other architects.

We are delighted that John Rich, after 30 years practising as an architect, has been added to this very short list of seven expert architects

The question most often presented to an expert architect is:

‘What was it reasonable to expect the architect to have done?’

The answer needs very careful consideration as the outcome will often result in legal action. The RIBA recognises John has sufficient understanding and experience to answer this question and comment on the performance of another architect.

John’s forensic experience and technical understanding is particularly appreciated by those still in training and just qualified. We are grateful for the level of detail and insight that he brings to the projects that we work on in the practice.
